Michael E. Bryan

DPhil Student

  • Cancer Research UK (CRUK) MB-PhD Fellow
  • Affiliate Scientist, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard

I am an MD-PhD student in the Nuffield Department of Medicine, where I develop computational approaches to identify vaccine targets across cancer and infectious diseases. My work integrates immunology and bioinformatics, focusing on how immune responses can be predicted across different disease contexts.

Before beginning my DPhil, I was awarded a pre-doctoral research fellowship in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard Medical School. There, my work on blood-based biomarkers for virus-associated cancers was recognised by the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

I hope to serve as a physician-scientist with Médecins Sans Frontières, contributing to both scientific progress and frontline medical care.
